Meath LGFA are offering Bursaries for 1st Year College Students

In a new initiative, Meath LGFA are offering bursaries for 1st year college students.for the 2021/22 academic year.  This was officially launched at our Kepak Senior Championship Final in Pairc Tailteann on Sunday 7th November.( Photo below with Michael Cassidy, Colm Mc Manus and Mick O'Dowd )
We are offering 2 bursaries,:
1. The Audrey Cassidy Bursary of €1000:  Who following a brave battle with illness,  passed away in June 2020. As a mentor with the Meath underage teams over the years, Audrey took great pride in seeing players progression, and would have been delighted to see some of the players lift the coveted Brendan Martin Cup in September.
2. The Kepak Bursary of €1500:  As our key County sponsor, Kepak are delighted to be supporting Meath LGFA on this journey and the bursary programme aims to support players off the field as well. 


Commenting on the Kepak bursary, Mick O’Dowd, Agri-Business Development Manager, said: “It is a really exciting time to be a ladies footballer in Meath and the recent All Ireland success has not only provided real role models for the next generation but has also showcased the work that is ongoing across the county at Club and School level.”
